FAL - Forgotten Artisan Living... A dream come through

To think it has been 4.5 years since we took the "plunge" onto our flood plain property, with a dream of feeding ourselves and be able to have my horse in the "backyard".

We now run a small herd of (8) Cattle, (5) Goats, (5) Horses, (15) chooks, (3) Muscovy ducks, a cattle dog and a Cat.

We have not had to go to the cold section of a supermarket for 2.5 years and I grow most of our veggies!

Im humbled and excited for the future. Yet, I am still sometimes stuck in "what to do next" or "What have we done".

Writing this, looking over my paddocks seeing the grass starting to grow, (Late Winter here in SE Queensland) sun beaming down on Oreos shiny coat, I know we did the right thing.

Sometimes you just have to DO IT.

With this Blog I hope I can inspire others to live life a little slower. Maybe grow some herbs, bake some bread and cuddle a cow once in a while - Its great for the mind =)
